Lambros in Fiesta Sporting Trophy WRC

|
For the first time a Greek crew will follow a complete programm based around the FIA World Rally Championship with the endorsement of the National Motorsport Association of Greece!
Lambros Athanassoulas and co driver Nikos Mouzakis will participate in this years Fiesta Sporting Trophy International, supported by Ford Motor Hellas, leading Greek Oil Comapny Jet Oil and rally internet site www.rally.gr.
The Fiesta Sporting Trophy International is organised by the ISC and M-Sport and will include the 6 following rallies of the World Championship.
24-26 March Rally Catalunya
7-9 April Rallye de France - Tour de Corse
18-21 May Supermag Rally Italia Sardinia
11-13 August OMV ADAC Rallye Deutschland
18-20 August Neste Rally Finland
1-3 December Wales Rally GB
The car of the Trophy will be a Ford Fiesta ST, with Group N specifications. The tyres used will be BF Goodrich and there will be a restriction in the types and number per rally depending on the character of rally.

Lambros Athanassoulas: It is a big challenge for us to participate in the World Championship Rally. The competition will be very tough, since we will have to compete against 20, at least, crews driving identical cars. We will try hard to represent our country in the best possible way. I had a small contact with the car, driving it in September while it was prepared at M-sport, taking a first impression from its characteristics.
